I'm charting mine for a while before I correct it.
All in-town mileage.
17.73 = 19.0....933
16.8 = 17.6......955
17.75 = 18.8....944
17.84 = 18.7....954
18.467 = 19.8..933
17.30 = 18.1....956
=============
.......................946 average
Pecked out on my iPhone.

My numbers from today. Last fill up yesterday gave me 18.9 actual mpg. Truck said 19.6. Cold weather and idling/warm up are dropping me down.
I was at 955 so dropped it down to 952. When I had it at 950 I was too far the other way.
I am OCD enough about this stuff that I know if I can't get it reasonably close I will just put it back to 1000 and ignore it. Still fun in the meantime.....

If you are trying to change the number just based on a tank or two, you'll continually be chasing the number. Flat out, it will never be "perfect".
I've got mine adjusted based on all 37,000 miles of driving. (926 was my number), and on average, it is dead on. Not on every tank - its always off a few percentage points, but not the 10-12% off it was before. Now it patterns around the actual average. Sometimes a bit a high, sometimes a bit low.
My mileage is down, but it isn't just "winter blend", which started appearing in our system in October. Between more idling warm up time, cold fluids in the transmission and differentials, etc..., and higher density air, well, it all adds up.

Yes, mine drops a little on winter mix.
This week, when it was in the 20’s and 30’s outside, my truck was showing around 14-15 mpg ....then it warmed up to the 50’s and 60’s....and my mileage went back up to normal winter fuel mileage (which seems to be approx 2 mpg lower than in the summer). While it could be coincidence, but my truck doesn’t seem to like cold temps!

I did my first fill up since I fixed my display. I was showing 19.7 mpg (lifetime of 19.1 at 42 K). I was pleasantly surprised when Fuelly showed that I had gotten 20.0. I'm not going to adjust anything until 3 or 4 more fill ups (2000 to 2500 more miles).

Anyone calculating the numbers when using larger tires?
I’ve hand calculated mpg before but I have to imagine that because my speedo is off my odometer is also off and that would make calculations very difficult.
Any advice? Maybe use a % factor to adjust for the size increase over stock?

use a site like this to calculate the difference in your tire size - then use that percentage difference when doing your mpg calculations.
