The cylinder deactivation is the first thing I would tune out and the parts replaced haha! Glad you like it! Don't pull off the heads, you may change your mind.

I'd be having flashbacks of the Cadillac v-8/6/4 debacle.

I'm only 31 and never owned that particular Caddy. Haha, but I do have a '64 Coupe Deville!!! Not to hijack OP's thread, but I tore apart a Gen III LS 5.3 Chevy with the displacement on demand. Had about 10k miles on it and about an 1/8th inch of buildup on the 4 pistons that dropped out when going to 4cyl. I pulled the lifters and other stuff out and swapped it over to being a full 8cyl again. Ran boost through it after that for a few years and it was solid.

Back in Ohio 😔. By the numbers I drove 2410 miles, spent 39 hours doing it, was in 6 states, 2 time zones. Truck performed flawlessly. Saw high side of 100 and sat in traffic on the interstate.
I love my truck, only problem is my son wants me to take the GMC back and sell him the Ford. Not happening it's staying in my garage.

Hahaha! The last part sounds like what my dad would tell me.
Glad to see it was a champ and met all expectations

I've never heard of anyone averaging 19.2 while averaging 78. That's really good numbers for the 3.5tt. Unless you had the tail wind solution. Head wind you'll eat 16 or less all day lol. As per what's been said on here.

I'd rather have the faster 1/4 mile time with the worse mpg... Because NO ONE is deactivating my CYLINDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
