also, a lot of service writers hate writing up Oil changes because they dont really make any money off of it, and it might cause them to miss a big repair write up coming in behind you. I know of multiple service writers who would pass on the oil changes, inspections, and simple services (tire repairs etc) on to the learning advisors so they could continue to scour the bays for a big repair. So it would surprise me if he told you its a big wait to get you to go else where so he didnt have to write you up.

A lot of dealerships, even with appointments, you will wait just as long.

Were they up front and honest with you about the time frame at least?
It's really not a big deal, just an inconvenience, but one I planned for. They were up front, though with a waiting room full of people I had already figured it out.

Agrred, I was referring more to the 2 hour wait 8 minutes after opening.

I'd like to point out, these are more observations than complaints, since this is my first experience with Ford. Sorry if they came off that way. My previous vehicles were Hondas. Their service department is notably smaller, which is the reason for the longer wait times, next time I'll get there at 0600 so I beat the wait haha.

Overall I was pleased with the service. Wvweything appears to be done well, everything was clean when returned. And there was no issue with closing out, they already knew about my complimentary services so they just handed me the printout and my key and off I went. For $40, the oil change, inspection, and rotation isn't bad. That's about what I paid for my car, though they did wash it for me. Haven't decided if I'll do the maintenance myself once the free services run out or not. Though I'll only be in this area another 4-5 months.

Dealer I use is great. In and out in less than 45 every time.

Bring the car back, they replace MAF sensor, Air Cleaner, and clean up al the oil, change it again correctly. Give me two free oil change coupons.

I have four free oil change coupons right now, don't think I will ever have to pay of an oil change in that car, 9 quarts Mobil one synthetic.

I am hope when Ford does the change on my truck, they can do better.
Even if the service is free, why would you keep going back there?

The Friday before a holiday weekend and there's a wait. I can't believe it.

Insanity = doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

Only, it was the same when I went several weeks ago. But I got there 30 minutes after they opened. I figured right at open on a Friday would be better. Doesn't have anything to do with the holiday.
