Fender to cab roof measurement?
Does anyone know what the measurement from the top of the wheel well to the top of the cab is? I don't personally need to know at the moment, but occasionally the question comes up about clearance for a given height. It would be way easier if we knew that distance and had the ability to do the math from fender height off the ground. Precise wheel well measurement = easy. Precise cab measurement = practically impossible.

Alright, so here's what I did...
I park in a parking garage with a stated 6'8" of clearance. As I drive under the clearance bar, I can reach up & grab it through the moonroof. Before leaving this morning, I opened the moonroof and, sure enough, the top of the moonroof air deflector is the highest point of the truck. It sits above the GPS antenna, so I used that as my reference point for the top of the cab:
As I drove under the clearance bar, I measured the deflector to the bar at 6". Then I pulled through and parked to measure 1) the actual bar height at 83-1/4", and 2) the front wheel well height at 39-3/8". The result of all this is a wheel-well-to-cab-top height of 37-7/8":
So, if you ever wonder whether your truck will clear something, just measure to the front fender and add 38", plus a little extra for safety factor.

Eh... I wanted to do a fair bit better than "pretty close." I thought of a way to calculate it, and I may try it a bit later if I get the chance.

Just did this, then checked
@DeltaNu1142 FRICKEN NAILED IT
Fender measurement 36.75, added 38= 74.75
Then went out with a 3 point fiberglass stake across the roof and at the highest point it was 74.75"

Huh... good to know. Thanks.

My antenna is the highest point of the truck. If I want to know if I'm going to clear something, I just need to look at it. Measurements and dimensions change and / or aren't always accurate. The antenna never lies.

it does not indeed, but I gotta get in a 6’ 9” parking garage today and the antenna will hit, but the roof will not

While I agree the OP could have found a less complicated way to get this data the method derived from his work was spot on for me
Measure fender height, add 38" about as simple as it gets
