That would be addressed to a specific dealer, which no one likely would post, as it would have the dealer's info, and Ford would not like it.

Mmm, most likely. I've seen similar memos with the addressee blocked out.

It would be nice to be able to drop it on the service manager's desk. The last time I was in there, they pushed hard for the induction system cleaning & injector flush, and they said they'd bring it up again during the next visit.

Thanks Len... that's basically what I've already got, though. I was hoping for something a little more formal. It's not important, it would just add a little oomph to the message.

Don't know what you're going to accomplish by doing that. They got the letter, they know what Ford's guidelines are, and they know that if they change their behavior that they'll make a lot less money.

I bought a Fusion Energi (PHEV) in September. I bought it from the General Manager, who handed me a form that said they'd perform the first oil change free, at 3,000 miles, "but you can wait and do it at a year". This is what my manual says:

"Your vehicle is equipped with the Intelligent Oil-Life Monitor system, which displays a message in the information display at the proper oil change interval. This interval may be up to two years or 20,000 mi (32,000 km)."

Guess he didn't read the letter...
