Family Trucksters, DVD systems
What are some of you running for DVD systems in you 15+ F-150s
I really don't like the velcro on $79 specials
Let's see what you got?

This connected to Bluetooth/internet
Only have 1 kiddo, but when number two eventually gets here I will get one of the mounts that sits in cup holder and put it in the rear console cup holder

We have the headrest mounted velcro strap model, works well enough for our 5 & 2 yr old kids.
Only issue we had with it, it the velcro would snag my wife's hair if it wasn't positioned right.

We use an old iPad Air that I got for free that is basically my 3 year olds, but only on long drives or whatever.
I got one of these:
It mounts to the headrest bars and works well. Well, it did in our 2014 Flex. Since moving to the F-150 I haven't moved it over yet, but I don't see anything that would make it work any different in the F-150.
I believe either an older and cheap iPad, or something like a Kindle Kids Edition is the way to go over some DVD unit. Can stream Netflix by sharing your smartphones wifi (watch your data overages and that of course), or load videos on to it directly.

I had a RCA brand that was the strap on the headrest type. I don't really like that style but this one lasted 5 years of us traveling and camping trips with 3 kids. It was $150 I think. With us having actual 110 outlets in the back with these newer trucks I would think options might be better now.

I appreciate this thread, as I definitely know the value of a screen on longer trips. We have a built-in screen in our MDX that my wife drives. However, after having my truck for 3 months, it is nice that our 2 year old now knows that there is no way to watch anything in the truck, so he watches the road and talks to us about what he sees. I'm still early enough in parenthood that I like that.

Three kids (9, 6, 3) and each has his/her own that hangs off the headrest. They're the flip up style. Can't get them to watch the same thing.
Heading to Florida in few weeks (15 ish hours) so it should be a fun drive.
