Probably, but your engine makes less HP without the vrooomy sounds.

I like the fake engine noise, I was told that the mustang also haves the fake engine noise.

I'll admit I'm a hypocrite. I think the fake noise is a joke on the f150, but they did it because so many get hung up on familiar sounds and the emotional connection from it. Deep rumble = power to the average Joe.
I'm a hypocrite because I've had a number of 4 cylinder vehicles at the same time I've owned my trucks. Despite the great ownership experiences of the 4 banger and hundreds of thousands of trouble free miles, I hate the sound of a 4 cylinder. I had a 2.0 turbo MKZ and loved the fact that the audio system made the 4 banger not sound like a gurgling fart cannon!

I disabled fake noise on Friday... IllI be honest, I'm not sure I can even tell a difference. Turbos sound the same, I really can't tell any difference before vs after.

2017 Lariat 3.5 EB w/ Sony

There was an audible, and startling, "pop" when I wrote the disable bits to the ACM module to disable the fake noise. Sounded like unplugging an audio input plug from a stereo that's powered on (which is probably exactly what happened except via a relay). I was kinda annoyed driving home afterwards because all the "beeps" (reverse, chime, collision warning) came through that tinny speaker and not the stereo. Once I got home, turned off the truck and didn't use it for about an hour, the next time I started up all the chimes were back through the stereo. Just thought I'd mention that in case anyone else gets worried after making the change.

They do, but if you have a loud enough exhaust, you'll never hear it!

I disabled mine yesterday and that loud pop scared the crap out of me. I also agree that the difference isn't as noticeable as I thought it would be. Maybe when I drive it some more my opinion will change however on initial impressions, I agree with you. Time will tell.

Okay now that I've driven some more there is a definitely a difference. I like it so much better now. I can hear the squirrel's churning away under the hood without the obnoxious growl.

What's fake about the mileage. Mine is spot on after setting the fuel bias.

That's like saying "what's fake about the engine noise coming through the speakers, I don't hear it after I turned it off."
