Looking at this, it sort of implies that other speakers are upgraded also? https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts...AaAoZAEALw_wcB
No, just the sub and sub amp. The diagram your referring to is just the Ford diagram showing all components for that block of parts.

I thought you got the JBL upgrade speaker set awhile back? That's the same subwoofer you have linked from Tasca. Costs less and you get more.

Nope, didn't get it yet, still open on the decision.

Can anyone confirm if this will work with an 2018 stx without SiriusXM? Wanting to add this but after reading looks like you need the SiriusXM option with the radio to have power to the rear plug. Is this true, if so why? What’s the difference between SiriusXM vs non SiriusXM radios with sync3
thanks

If you have the rear plug did you check to see if there is 12v power to it. Mine is hot all the time. The 6vdc turn on power is switched by the APIM. I don't know where you get the Sirius XM option from.

A voltmeter will tell you what you are looking for. You need to read this: https://www.f150forum.com/f118/how-i...g-play-424185/
Then read it again.

without sirius it's very very very unlikely you have a signal, at best you'll have power. Being an 18 makes it even less likely that you'll be able to just use the plug and forscan changes to make it work.

Hope this helps someone.

For those wanting to install the Kicker VGL3Z-18808-A and don't have the inlline OEM connector for the Sub/amp.

Below are the part numbers for the Motorcraft Pigtail ($50 - $100)

or

the vehicles you could pull it from at a Self-Serve Junyard. The one near me charges $6 for a pigtail.

Of course, You'll probably have to move some wires around.

First & Third pics are the lock on the liftgate,

The middle pic is in the trunk behind the access door trim panel

I ordered the factory Kicker sub, part number VKL3Z-18808-A the other day for my 2019 XLT scab. I was looking for install instructions and found this thread with pics of the plug. I just looked to see if I had the plug for the sub and it is not there.

Freaking Ford.

What are my options to use this sub if any?
Look carefully. On my 2017 XL STX it is behind a support between the C pillar and the back seat. My plug is tucked behind that support almost on the floor. I have seen posts that people say they pulled the plug loose (there is a nylon connector holding it in place) in order to facilitate installation.
