I just want to add that I added a factory sub and factory amp (out of a Focus i think) and its all Factory wiring. I know I would have done it cheaper, but I wanted to maintain the continuity of a factory system. Other than waiting and maybe spending a little more, I ended up with a Great system. I ordered the factory harness between the C pillar and the amp and had to make one to go from the amp to the sub. Made the appropriate changes in Forscan and it worked beautifully. I ended up with exactly what i wanted other than I initially bought the wrong amp. I didn't buy the WPT 1212 becasue I couldn't identify what I needed on the other end of that to plug into the amp.

Just to keep it simple, I want to use the WPT connector (once I verify I have one) and a 150 watt or so sub. But am I correct that you are only getting the bass from one side only? That's the way ford made the upgrade option for a dealer installed sub? What if the song has bass from the right side? Nada. Interesting, but I guess it is what it is...

No, that's not correct. It's a sum of front left and right.

Awesome thanks. That sounds a lot more legit.

I wish I would have seen this thread a few days ago.

I ordered the factory Kicker sub, part number VKL3Z-18808-A the other day for my 2019 XLT scab. I was looking for install instructions and found this thread with pics of the plug. I just looked to see if I had the plug for the sub and it is not there.

Freaking Ford.

What are my options to use this sub if any?

Yup. Me too. Seems to me a LOC wired to the fronts is the way to go.

In my 2018, it was very difficult to locate, but I dug around more and it was there. I can't say for sure with a 2019, but I suspect yours might be there and difficult to find? Maybe worth another, more thorough, search?

I'll dig around better after work tomorrow. The white base in the pics a few pages back is empty in my truck. I figured all the wiring would be there because I have the fancy Sirius/Sync 3 set up with 7 speakers.

Hoping it is there.

Anyone have a link to the install instructions for this factory Kicker sub?

No luck with the plug. Pulled the weather strip and trim pieces off. Oh well.

Sorry to provoke a waste of time and effort, but as I say, mine was there when I searched a bit harder and didn't want you to be stuck with "plan b" if it was actually there!
