Factory sub

So I installed(not bolted down yet) the sub, I have power from the harness to the built-in amp but I'm getting no audio. I hooked up the wires from the harness to the high level inputs (2+ and 2- wired them together to the harness + and - signals) and had a ground wire in the high level connection that I hooked to the amp ground.
I enabled External Sub and super cab 7 w/ kicker, I get a kick from the sub when the power to it comes on, but that's it..
My original settings in the acm was:
Aux External Woofer: No external sub/no external speaker
Kicker/subwoofer selection: Incorrect value or not configured
Edit: forgot to ask, does the sound settings on sync 3 give any sub settings? If so I don't have that option in the sound profile on the head unit.

So odd thing that I can't seem to figure out.
I originally hooked up the sub using high level inputs but was not getting any audio signals, I managed than to hook up to an RCA cables and got signal. But can't figure out why the high levels aren't working..
Anyone have an idea why the cables will work split into RCAs but not high levels.

Hi folks, new member here with a new truck. I've been pouring over the great amount of information here and I added a factory (Ford Kicker Accessory item #VGL3Z-18808-A) to my 2018 XLT. I bought the ODBLink MX and got it working without a hitch thanks to information found on this forum and the Forscan shared document. The Ford box came without any instructions but did have a sticker on it with a few websites where it could be found. Neither of those links worked for me and one required a dealership ID and log on. About the only question I had was with one of the loose brackets and how it was oriented but I eventually figured out the orientation. The tip is to look at the two mounting tabs on the right, then visualize a straight vertical line in the middle and that is the plane the lower bracket's upper hole needs to line up with. The feet where the bolts go through are oriented towards the inside from same plane. The entire process probably could have taken 30 minutes but the dang carpet got me. Evidently I was shy with the carpet cutting and spent way too much time getting one screw started. Eventually, I just cut a much bigger hole in the carpet. Only after I finished did I come across a diagram that gave some measurements on where to cut (this is shown in the other VSS Kicker hit and PDF instructions can be found on line). Its a little cramped back there and not easy to pull back the carpet to see the pre-drilled tapped holes (that are taped over) but after that... its pretty much child's play. When it came to making "write" changes for the first time with Forscan... I was hopeful I wasn't going to get some software glitch in the middle and then "brick" my computer. I did get a warning about checksums but went ahead anyway and after cycling power I was ready to give it a try. As others have pointed out its not going to break the windows but I wasn't expecting that and it definitely sounds way better than stock. My son works at a dealer so I was able to snag a pretty good price on the thing. It was a good plug and play option (for me).
Anyway, thought I would share my experience and give a thanks to all those who have contributed. This is a great Forum!
Next mod will likely be the Raptor steering wheel and paddle shifters... then exhaust.... lift.. wheels.. tires.. you know the usual.

OK, I've read the thread. I just bought the Bang and Olafsen sub speaker for 198 dollars on eBay. Someone has told me this speaker is NOT amplified. I just went out and confirmed the harness is there in my SCAB XLT with XM and Nav (has the center speaker on the dash, so 7 speakers), sure enough, it is. So, here's my question: Will I be able to use line level to power the speaker from the existing amp, or do I have to use an additional amplifier? Anyone know?
Thanks,
Dave

I know just enough about wiring to be dangerous, but I've been trying all day to get my Rockford Fosgate PS-8 to power on and am getting nothing. I have the 20A fuse in #22, I have a wired WPT-1212 wired to the fosgate harnesses, I have enabled external sub in Forscan, still nothing. ANy other things I can check to get this amp to turn on? Not sure how to test if my harness behind the seatbelt is getting power at all.
Thanks
