Yes, I ran it to both l and r on the kicker. Also, I did not hook the shield wire to anything. Seemed to work well for me. I've been jamming for a week now and because I got the hideaway used, I've only got $100 into it. Best investment I've made so far.

I can confirm this is 100 percent legit. I just hooked up my hideaway and made the changes in forscan. I now have bass! I still need to dial it in and finish mounting the sub, but it works. The 1212 harness makes adding a powered sub plug and play if you have the ability to enable the sub in forscan.

Glad to hear this worked for another person!

I'm interested in trying this but concerned by the wire size (for power) in the 1212 harness. It looks like 16awg but most install kits have 8awg or larger. Any problems with heat buildup in the power wire?

the power leads on the 1212 harness look like 14awg. I think as long as you stay below 200 watts you should be ok. The factory kicker that uses the existing harness is 150 watts. The harness that came with my hideaway is 14awg on the power side. I don't think it's an issue if you're just adding a compact powered sub. I'd you're going bigger you could still use the harness and pull a power feed. Still much simpler than tapping the doors or pulling the dash apart.

I think this was touched on earlier in this thread, but I have to say that changing the setting in the acm to 7 channel crew with kicker after enabling the amp setting really makes it come alive. It does seem that this enables a crossover in the acm. The main speakers and the tweets sound much brighter... Actually too bright. I had to back off of the treble and boost up the mid a notch.

They're gonna have to slash 50% off this dumb sub. As its a 100w 8", over the previous gen 200w 10" sub!

Why the hell pay 700.00 for this... Yikes

Pretty sweet find here. When I first got my truck I was looking at adding a sub (like every other vehicle I own) but didn't want to lose the under seat storage and tear it apart like all the other vehicles.

So if I want to add a behind the rear seat option on a 2015 CC, will the Kicker Hideaway work?

Then I need the Motorola WPT1212 Connector to attach to the existing hidden connector in the truck.

Need to wire as shown previously in this thread.

Need Forscan and a OBDii dongle to turn it on in the truck.

Am I missing anything?
