Factory sub
I've had my battery go dead several times since I bought my 2016 SCREW. I installed a custom sub box, Alpine Sub Amp, and used the PAC TR-4 to trigger the amp. I used the WPT-1212 plug and connection in the door pillar for all wiring.
On several occasions, I've had to jumpstart or charge the battery if I did not operate the truck for a few days.
I can see that the sub amp turns off after a short period of time after turning off the truck, and of course, it turns on when I unlock the doors or start the engine.
I took it to the dealership for this and a transmission pump replacement. They replaced the battery but said they couldn't see anything else wrong.
Well, after a few weeks, the battery was drained again after not driving it for three days.
I took it back to the shop. They just called to tell me the problem is with the sub amp setup. They said it's drawing power and that's why the battery is going flat.
I know the amp is turning off.
Has anyone else experienced this?
It seems to me that the ACM should be cutting power after it times out. Why would there still be a power drain?

Hey guys my WPT-1212 is showing up tomorrow can someone confirm what I need to set the ACM using FORScan so that I get low level output for RCA's inputs on my amp please.
Currently I just enabled the aux subwoofer in my ACM do I need to do anything else to make it a low level signal for RCA inputs?

If I recall correctly, I had to do nothing else. Once enabled, signals are low level only. That is the reason you avoid tapping on to rear speaker wires
Thank you sir this seems to be a matter of debate on other threads. Did you use any kind of preamp or was this signal good enough to run straight into your amplifier?
I ran the single output from the connector into an RCA splitter and connected it to my sub amp. I have the gain set right in middle for the amp to match the normal output to the speakers. Sounds great this way.
No preamp. Just enabled sub in forscan and opted 7 speakers and hooked up output to amp low signal input (Rockford ps8)
I have checked numerous times, and it always turns off after a short period of time after getting out of the truck.
