oh yeah, running Pioneer GM-D8601 amp, 300W RMS @4ohm to a 10" pioneer shallow mount sub. No line converter presently.

Thanks to all involved in this thread. I just installed mine, WPT-1212 to a Rockford Fosgate PS-8 (pretty much identical to the Kicker Hideaway with the same specs only half the price). Did the activation in ForScan with my OBDLink MX and Windows 10 Laptop. Changed the settings from "error" to "Crew Cab 7 Speaker Kicker..." or whatever that one was and also changed to "Aux External Subwoofer." The Crew Cab 7 Speaker setting took the low end out of all my speakers, and added a HUGE amount of mids and highs. Also, the Sub did work, but sounded like it was missing bass... maybe missing some signal. I played with everything to try to get more out of the sub, nothing worked. All sub settings maxxed, high input vs low input, phase setting 0 vs 180, tried the remote volume control all the way up... couldn't get anything out of the sub and I was starting to regret my endeavor. After reading more on this thread, I reset the "Crew Cab 7 speaker" setting back to what my default was "error" and voila... the sub came alive! This basically doubled the bass coming from my sub.

So, my set up is 302A, Sync 3, 7 speaker stock (non-sony). If you're trying the sub thing as listed in this thread I suggest these settings in ForScan:
Auxiliary External Subwoofer: "Auxiliary External Subwoofer"
Kicker/Subwoofer Selection: "error" (which was stock for me)

The resulted in the most bass out of the sub for me, and the best sound overall. I hope this helps.

I personally did a Kicker PX200.1 ($50 on Amazon 200x1 mono amp), and then a 12" sub under the seat. Another member used the same amp, and dual 8"s.
Lots of options, but this little amp rocks, is cheap, and it will run off the factory harness no issues for power/ground/turn on.

Chris
I did the same setup, as you PX200.1. Used the stock wiring and used a 10" Kicker RT...love the set up. Amazing power. No need to connect the blue wire it auto senses. Your thread was a great guide. also set it up with quick disconnects for 2 min removal if i ever switch trucks.

Default Cant find settings in Forscan

I have a 2017 XLT with NAV and 7 speaker setup. I bought the OEM Kicker sub from a forum member at Banner Ford. I bought the OBDLink MX and installed Forscan. I had read as much as I could and thought it would go pretty smooth, but I have hit a snag. The sub is installed and plugged in to the factory harness, but I cant find the settings in Forscan. The included pix shows which columns I can choose from and I dont have an ACM. I have looked in all the others and dont see the 727-01-01 at all. Where do I find it?

I assume there was no previous Forscan profile that loaded? If there is, delete it and reconnect.

I know guys have run into this issue but I cannot remember what the fix is. It shouldn't be a big deal especially since you have the correct obdlink MX Bluetooth adapter.

If you don't get any responses in this thread I would ask in the Forscan thread/sticky and someone should be able to help you out pretty quickly.

looks like your forscan is only loading half of the modules. should load HS-Can then MS-Can.
do you what the another member suggested. delete your profile and try to get it to detect your vehicle from scratch again

Thanks to both of you, you were right. I loaded a new profile and all is good now, OEM sub gives all the thump I need so I am pretty happy.

Default 2017 lariat sub

So I have the sony system in my truck. Overall better sound than my 2015 XLT with the kicker sub but the sub level needs to come up. Has anyone tried the poly fill inside the 2015 and up sony system? I have a nice 10 infinity sub and a bunch of amps can I just disconnect the Sony sub and add another? The previous system they said the amp drives all the speakers but I haven't seen anything about the 2015 and newer?

Has anyone ever figured out why the XL rear sub connector doesn't have the low level output wires active?
