What's the verdict on this? I have a 2015 Lariat without Sony. I have no sub, but was wondering if the 20 amp power lead, input level, and signal wire is already there. I have Forscan and have considered adding a small sub like the hideaway.

It works. I ended getting a factory Sony sub and factory amp that would come with the factory kicker sub. The strange thing is that the amp doesn't have a crossover so it plays the full range through the sub. So not sure if there is a different bit to flip in the acm programming or what but I ended up getting a universal bass **** that has a frequency control too (should be here today)

Also made a bracket for the amp so that took some time.

Hi lucas8888,
Thanks for posting your findings, this will be quite helpful to me as I am installing a NVX QBUS8v2 in my truck this weekend.

I have a question for you about the wires in the connector, what is the black wire for?
As I understand it:
Orange/Red = Power
Black/Violet = Ground
Brown = Remote Turn On/Clip Detect
Violet = Speaker +
Green = Speaker -
Black = ????

Thanks again,
Andrew M.

I like the amp bracket, it turned out good.

Just out of curiosity, do you know what the RMS output is on that amp?

Thank you. Not sure but my guess would be at most 200 watts rms.

This is fcking awesome. It means I can enable the signal and tap just that one spot to send it to an outboard DSP and on the amp/speakers.

Awesome work Lucas!
