Thanks for all the info gents!

Wired up the Kicker Hideaway harness to the WPT1212, plugged into the existing sub connection, loaded and tweaked the ACM in FORscan, and bam, I got sub action.

I went ahead with the kicker 7 speaker option in FORscan after messing with it a bit. Definitely sounds better enabled.

Does your blue power light stay on when the truck is off?

Default Harness not working?

So I enabled the harness and 7 speaker/kicker settings in FORScan and immediately noticed the difference in sound others noted.

I had my sub wired prior. Plugged in the harness and hooked it up; but the amp doesn't turn on and no sound even if I use the old remote wire.

The only connections i used the harness for are the speaker +/- and the remote.....

used my own power and grounds..... what could the problem be??

No. It stays on for a bit. Havent timed it. Set the alarm and walked inside, came out about 20 minutes later and it was off.

10" Pioneer shallow mount. Kenwood 150W RMS amp. Everything was working fine not on the harness.

I tried using the old remote and the amp kicked on but the audio signal doesn't come through; so the problem seems to effect the whole harness?

Recheck the FORscan setting. Might have forgotten to WRITE the new settings before exiting.

I can confirm that kicker settings changes the sound of all the speakers. I have no sub, but I installed the 5 speaker kicker kit a month ago and wasn't overly impressed. It sounded like they were way under powered and needed an amp to push them. I decided against the amp and ordered the kicker oem sub. I don't have the sub yet but I had the dealer enable the kicker settings. The door and dash speakers sound much better now. I think Ford knows that their stock paper speakers can't handle a lot of power. But when selecting Kicker, it feeds a little more? Does that make sense?

Are there any amps compatible with the 2.7L Auto start feature If I choose to go aftermarket?

Really like the plug and play ability of the kicker sub but I feel like it is not going to perform like I would like.
