Factory sub
pretty sure the head unit doesn't send standard speaker signals (Low lever or high level) to the rear factory amp. It's a signal that needs to be processed. Without a factory amp in the rear the only thing you will probably gain is your remote wire to signal the aftermarket amp to turn on.
Also one thing interesting is the amp turn on is 6 volt. Not a big deal since there is 12 volt and ground in the harness too. I don't have a 6 volt relay yet but one is on the way.
Thank you so much for testing!!!! It is also good to know it is a full range signal.
Haha love the stereo, always been a fan of the pioneer 6000 series stereos!!! My first real sound system included a P6400, 2 12" MTX8000, and a MTX Thunder 225HO. Oh the early 2000's, good memories.

Haha thanks. Yeah I have had a few pioneers and that one I used in my old truck all the way up until last year. Just couldn't get rid of it so now I use it for testing.
so i wonder if the kicker sub you can buy aftermarket would combine with the ford harness? even if it plugs up and works - can you adjust it? can anyone with the kicker factory option confirm there is a separate adjustment for the sub only? i've been looking at the powerstage to amp the doors as well, but if there's a plug and play option for the sub piece that saves a bit of work.
