You'll likely need to tap into speaker wires to get signal. Fronts are better since they have a full signal. The rear speaker lines don't get the full bass signal. I ended up buying a Sirius-enabled ACM off of eBay and that caused the speaker signal to get sent to the plug in the rear pillar and then I didn't need to tap into any speaker wires.

thank you so much! I think I might splice into fromt speakers as to avoid spending more money. To you happen to know the best way to access the front speaker wires and what colors I should be looking for? 2016 XLT

Yes, just tap them into the front door speakers to get signal.

where did you get the harness from. I have a Sony amp and sub from another f150 I want to put in mine but I’m missing the plug that goes from amp to sub and from truck (behind the molding in the back) amp.

Default Wiring harnesses

[QUOTE=lucas8888;4777072]There is a plug hidden behind the trim for the left rear seat belt. I'm hoping this is for the sub so I don't have to tap the rear speakers. From the wiring diagram I have seen it looks like there should be a sub signal and amp turn on there. But this has different colors so not sure yet.

Lucas I know it’s been almost 10 years since you jacked with this but where do I get the harnesses?

Truck to amp?
Amp to speaker?

If you are buying the kicker factory speaker, amp, and box combo from Ford, the second harness should come with the kit (part number FL3Z-14A411-H). That (FL3Z-14A411-H) is the harness that connects from your C-pillar body harness (green wrapped electric tape) to the amp in the kit for plug and play. This IS NOT the connection if you have the B&O or Sony-equipped amp/speaker package.
