I have a 2017 F-150 XLT 301A and have the plug in the rear on the driver c-pillar. Is this a sony sub or DSP or both? Is that connected to the gray plug or is that an actual different cab harness? I want to put in a sub. I originally had the 4" system but changed out the screen, APIM and FCIM to the 8". I have a sirius radio but not HD. Pretty sure its not a sony system in my truck. I want to stay plug and play so to speak as much as possible and use OEM sub. What would be recommendation? Is there a sony sub I should get or the kicker one or something else? I guess I am confused and would like some advice.
Thanks

Has anyone used the factory B&O sub and amp in a non B&O? I got one real cheap but the amp has more connections than the Sony one. I have an 18 xlt and have the sub plug in the side panel most are tapping into. I didn't see information on the harness pn for the b&o amp.

What’s the reasoning behind adding a terrible factory sub when you can get a higher quality aftermarket powered sub for under $300? Just curious

Though I haven't done anything on a sub yet I'm attracted to the Kicker made-for-the-F150 sub because it fits perfectly and uses space efficiently. What under-$300 powered sub were you thinking of, and can it be mounted behind the rear seat (SuperCab here) easily?

Is that directed at my post? Like I said I got one real cheap plus I like the idea of using the factory sub box.

I upgraded all speakers to Morel Tempo Ultras, added a Kicker Key 200.4, and a Rockford Fosgate PS-8 150W RMS 8” powered sub. The sub could definitely go in as a stand alone upgrade. Fits behind the seat no problem and is a huge upgrade over factory sound. $265

just a general question of anyone spending money to add a factory sub instead of going aftermarket.

I am having the same issue. did you ever find a way to get signal from the factory sub wiring?
(please ignore this post. I tried to quote a reply, but it didn't work and I don't know how to delete a post. Yes. I am new here)
