Does the same sensor also control your active park assist? And if so, how was that affected? If not, did you relocate the active park assist sensor(s) too?

I don't have active park assist on my truck. I suspect the radar module has nothing to do with that.

  • On the way home, I tested the adaptive cruise funtion at all following distances. I let it bring me almost to a complete stop at a stop light. Everything seems to be working as it was from the factory.
  • I have not yet triggered the collision warning. It was always a little over-sensitive, anyway, so I guess I'll see eventually whether that has changed.

Thanks for posting what you did in a step by step manner. Finding that bracket is priceless. I only want a brushguard to prevent the local fauna from damaging my truck, but I also want the stuff my wife insisted I get on the truck to work properly. Until I stumbled on this thread, that seemed to be unworkable. Now it just seems difficult. Project for January.

Great write up! Thank you for this information, with that bracket there is no reason you can't install any aftermarket bumper as long as you don't block it's view from the grill?

That's right. My bumper has the prerunner bar, too. The module now sits above the bumper and below the prerunner bar. I was worried about interference because the bar sits way ahead of anything OEM , but almost a year later it's still working as factory.
