Has anyone used the wifi forscan unit rather than the Bluetooth one? Seems easier to have it connect to wifi in the garage and then just use the computer in the house.

No. Wifi will not work. Bluetooth is the only reliable method

Some members on here were able to get it to work on a Mac. They use boot camp or boot strap or something. I'm not a Mac guy, so unsure of the program. I'm sure someone will weigh in.

Yes. I have windows running with Bootcamp on a Mac and it works well but the problem...it's not on a laptop so I'd need a 100 foot USB cable. Haha. Or drive the truck through the house.

I bought a 32 gb Insignia Windows tablet from BestBuy and it works perfectly. Others use the NuVision tablet. I opted for what could be bought nearby.
