Gotta say tho the descent control is darn nice. I was off road on a mtn trail last weekend and it got be down a steep trail with big guys and rocks and let me look oversold and steer around obstacles. Luckily I didnt have to test skid plates.

Ive got a 2017 3.5 eco screw with with fx4 package and out of the 3 trucks I drove and the loner xlt sport i got when my bedliner was getting put in. The fx4 was the smoothest riding out of all the trucks.

My FX4 ride noticably stiffer than my dad's nearly identically equipped 4X4. But I also have the stiffer C load tires. I don't have shock complaints for either truck.
But I would like to clarify that the FX4 skid plates and hill descent control is $350, not the 770 everyone seems to quote if you're already planning on including the e locker since that price includes the e locker and Ford doesn't charge you twice for it. $350 for hdc and skid plates is not a bad price IMO.
