I don't really have a problem with my garage. I have a block of wood that stops my back wheels which leaves 3" for the door to close. My problem is that I have to pass my wife's Escape (in the driveway) when I back in. When I first got the truck my mirror kept rubbing on the top of her mirror every time I backed in.

So I put a Rancho level in which solved that problem. Didn't tell my wife, but all I really needed to do was to angle my wheels slightly and I would clear her mirror. But then I would have gotten grief for buying the Quicklifts and RS 9000's.

My crew cab Frontier fits with about 4" of clearance, I used at tennis ball hanging from the ceiling to know when I've backed up enough.

Because of the way stairs jut into my garage a full sized truck won't fit, and I'm ok with that. It only snows a few times a year so I'm ok being a few minutes late if I have to clean off windows. But I'll miss getting into a warm truck and not needing a coat!

Personally, I am pretty **** about my vehicles as many of you are. I wasn't going to spend $50K on a truck and park it outside, personal preference. I used some simple 4X4s and a couple brackets and made a curb stop in the garage. Parks perfectly every time and fool proof no matter who drives the truck.

Back clearance- 2.5"

Front Clearance- 5"

And the reason that when I retired and starting looking to move a little closer to the grandkids my only requirement was a garage that could fit my 13
Lariart and then when I bought my 16, I drove from the dealer to my house and did a test fit before I bought my new one.

To deal with that I have a tennis ball hanging from ceiling and I stop once it hits windshield. Oh the first world issues we have to deal with..........
I'm in the exact situation as I have plenty of room lengthwise(I have the 6.5ft bed Screw) but my work bench makes it tight. Now the one thing I wish I would have opted for is the power folding mirrors. I have the tow mirrors that are huge and non powered so at this point I only park it in the garage when the weather is bad. I've been looking into getting powered ones put on but it's crazy expensive so I'll prob just live with it.

When I built my house in 2014 I was driving a small ranger. I have been planning this F150 purchase for some time so I made sure to design the garage with more than enough room to accommodate the F150. Bought a 2016 F150 SCREW 5'6" bed a month ago and it fits like a dream. A 24 foot garage is a nice luxury to have.

We had a new house built here in Florida also, and man these garages are smaller than I would ever have liked. Home was built before i bought my SCrew and it wouldnt fit in the garage. Was about 2" to long.....then I got a bright idea...remove the garage braces that run horizontally ( the stick out from the garage door by about 4 1/2") and replace them with thick 1/4" horizontal metal "L" shaped braces! So now still tight, but it fits! If there is a hurricane, hail storm, or just need to get it in, it fits. Ahhh the struggles. lol
