Default F-150 cost 1/2 to maintain than Ram 1500

F-150 costs 1/2 to maintain than Ram 1500 pickup according to Motor1.com.

9. Full-Size Pickup Trucks: Ram 1500
RepairPal Index Score 56; average $863/year. The spread in maintenance and repair costs becomes more pronounced among big pickup trucks, with the Ram 1500 estimated to cost about double that of the segment leading Ford F-150 at a projected $482/year.

And the Ram 3500, besides being the most expensive to maintain, is listed with other issues.

Here is the entire article. The trucks are listed as #9 and 10.

Rams are sweet. I love F150s, but I don't put them above Rams, they are equal in my mind.

yeah hard to believe. The F150s call for semi-synthetic and the 5.0s take more oil than a hemi does!

the new interior definitely looks nice and is starting to look on par with ford

Hemi engine will run until the wheels fall off but Coyote has more of a V8 sound IMO

I don't know about that. My '03 Hemi ran perfectly until the transmission went out last month at 225K. Wheels still on. Other than some front end work at about 175K, zero issues. If the new F150 does as well, I'll be happy.

Im pretty sure he meant the engine will outlast the truck. Meaning the engine is good.
