Extended Warranty, Ford ESP, how is this price?
Greetings from Fort Lauderdale.
Did a search on the above, nothing came up, must must have been covered numerous times..?
Anyways, getting my 2018 XLT delivered in a week or so.
Planning to keep it for a long time, been leasing in the past but a waste of money as I drive only 4,000 miles a year or less. Might as well get a good vehicle and keep it for 8 to 10 years.
In Florida one can’t buy an ESP on the Internet, have to sit down with a Ford dealer and haggle. Need some numbers before I sit down to sign.
Found this on Google, from Zeigler: They swear it is an authentic Ford ESP plan.
How does the numbers look, same as any Ford dealer, or less?

Zeigler and Flood are both legit. Make sure you compare apples to apples. DONT LET THE FINANCE GUY STEER YOU TO THIRD PARTY! Be sure to compare first day rental and deductibles.

These are 100% Ford warranties, that you cannot buy in Florida. Good luck negotiating with your Florida dealer, they have all the leverage.

That being said, as I searched this morning, Consumer Reports popped up with a 10/10 rating for an extended warranty company called Carchex. (Surfing The Better Business Bureau’s website it seems Carchex have plenty negative and Buyer Beware reviews).

Ford dealers will give you numbers that are going to be 2-3x greater than Zeigler or Flood. Their MSRP is aweful. Bring that sheet and negotiate there. Good luck!
You can also wait until the very last month of the basic warranty before making a decision, which I would recommend doing. That will leave you time to get to know the vehicle and ''have a feel'' of it before investing money on an insurance (ESP = insurance).
Oh and, third party warranty = crap. Don't get fooled, stick with Ford ESP.

You can buy from Zeigler if you are in Florida as they are licensed to do business there. At the top of their main page click on “FAQ” - scroll down a little and there is a section just about Florida.

Give them a call - they are very friendly and helpful but not pushy at all.

Carchex Called with a quote of $3,028.00 for total of 8 years and total of 76,000 miles.
In the meantime I wentt back to Zeiglers website and sure enough, it said under FAQ: Yes, we cover Florida.
Also plugged in different numbers, increased my total miles from 36,000 to 48,000 and reduced deductible to $50 AND included Key Service; Lamp Service and rental car: $2,095. Still a good price, probably much better than my local dealer.
THEN I played around with more numbers: Pre-paid Service every 7,500 miles to include Synthetic oil:$1,330.
Total for both: 3,525.00.
Not sure about the Service cost, understand the F-150 have an oil monitor and just guessing it will light up @ 7,500 miles.
If so, it will be 6.4 oil changes @ $207 each, including tire rotation and whatever else is needed and should be included.
Have not checked the maintenance manual yet. Any expensive service visits the first 50,000 miles...?
(previous car needed a bunch of expensive maintenance: 16 Platinum spark plugs, Synthetics, tranny fluid change @ $500, etc.)
Hoping the F-150 XLT is not that demanding, but the 3.5 eco is high output and probably need some TLC.
Any expert advice?

It wasn't me
I just shopped the 3 big ones for my friends Raptor and Flood came back the cheapest. I personally purchased from Zeigler.
