Default Exactly why I hate dealerships

So I recently purchased a 2018 f150 screw stx. I have a brake pedal creaking like it’s 90 years old and A low humming during throttle above 40 that’s driving me crazy. I called and made appt with dealership. Explained everything clearly over the phone. Decided, while I’m at it I asked them to do an oil change(just hit 1k miles). Service said they have all my complaints and will address issues when I drop it off. Fast forward to this morning. I go to drop off my less then month old truck for it’s issues. Problem is, they said they only have me down for an oil change. I lost it. They don’t have a loaner til July 5th so that’s when they can address all the issues. I’m beyond perturbed. Damn dealerships. End rant

Nothing entitles you to a loaner.

Here's hoping the Paper Boy doesn't forget to leave your paper tomorrow.

You are correct. This separates brands in my opinion. I paid 10k less for my Audi than my F150, both brand new, and they would never let me wait for anything. Always get a loaner, always detailed and they will pick up the car for an oil change if need be. It was the same with our Infiniti. Wish all brands provided that level of service.

I second Audi dealership here where I'm at. If only Audi made trucks...hrmmm....lol.

KInda what I was thinking. I've had worse than that happen, and many have had it worse than me.

And no, ford is not a premium luxury brand so you're saving money on the vehicle and sacrificing some level of service. If Audi made a truck it would cost more than a ford truck.

i agree. Initially I was having my wife come pick me up. However, when they tell you they only had you scheduled for an oil change(which was an add on) and that they couldn’t/wouldn’t look at your car today what does this tell you.

When I bought the F150 , the dealer took me on a tour of their " high tech service center" explaining how they have the best technicians, etc, then we got to the service bay where he started praising their highly advance shop, thats when I lost it and started laughing because he must have never seen Mercedes/ Porsche/ BMW/ Infinity / Honda dealership in my area. I hate stealerships but the Ford shop looked more disorganized and filthy than some backyard mechanic in the middle of nowhere. I understand Ford markets to different buyers but its damn nice to get warranty work done on my other car. I complained to my MB service advisor that the blower motor was chirping but only below 0F, they just replaced it. I had a random static noise from one of my speakers, they reviewed my video evidence and had it replaced. Faded wood trims, replaced without even asking them. These trucks are not the cheapest and Ford should learn from others.

Two things wrong with the first post - there's no point to "losing it", nobody wins, and painting all "dealerships" with the same broad brush. Stay calm, leave with your rig, and find a different dealer.

Beside that, "they" might just be the first person you saw. Did you talk to the manager?
