Evap problems P1430
Permanent P1430 code wont clear and truck engine stumbles at stop light occasionally.
I replaced the purge valve on the intake as well as the valve on the canister and no luck.
Now when I disconnect the vacuum hose from the valve I can hear the new valve fluttering. The valve opens and closes with an external power source so I assume it's OK. If I disconnect the power to the valve it closes so it's not leaking. Plug it back in and it starts fluttering vacuum.
It's as though the PCM is confused and sending an open/close signal to the valve. Is there perhaps a relay that could be defective??
This one is kicking my butt.....
Truck is a 2016 XLT Sport, 5.0 with 82K miles
