Default Engine start after sitting for a few days

I have a 2015 with the 5.0 v8

I have two vehicles, so sometimes my truck may sit for a few days - 2-4 days without being driven.
Everytime I start my truck after it has been sitting, I notice it starts up a little different.

The engine sounds like it "revs", I dont think it actual is since the tach gauge doesn't move any differently. It lasts only the first second or two when the engine is cranked. It just sounds like a little extra "grunt" when I start it after it's been sitting.
My truck has always done this since I've had it new.

I ASSUME this is normal, and it is not caused by the engine draining the oil or some other reason that may be causing damage to my truck?

Anyone else's v8 do this upon starting after letting the truck sit for a few days? Just want to make sure this is "normal"

Yep, mine does the same thing when sits at the airport for a few days/week. It's just waking up the sleeping bear!

Do these have an "old technology" thermal clutch fan (driven by the serpentine belt vs an electric fan)? Occasionally, the clutch will stick and the fan turns at engine speed when first started, make a roaring noise from the fan blades spinning thru air, then slowly stop as the clutch releases. Just guessing...

No mechanical fans, but I do see my e-fans do kick on sometimes when the truck is started and it sounds like a mechanical fan.

Thanks for the reply!
I was hoping people would chime in and echo what my truck was doing, so that is somewhat reassuring.

Completely normal! You should hear Tacomas when coldstarted, they sound like a 18 wheel truck when that big fan kicks in upon startups. I had one, it looked like I had a big engine under there (well, a 4.0L V6 is big for a medium size truck!).

All my vechicles start up like you described after they sit for a while. Normal.

Toyotas are loud on cold start up. Even loud when taking off, but in reality goes nowhere (slow Turds).

I've been looking into this myself and one of the reasons for the change in noise at startup is that when the vehicle is first started, the oil pressure control solenoid is closed for the first 20 seconds to make sure that oil makes it to the top (this is also the reason for some of the clickety, clackety, clanky noises you may hear when you first start it). After 20 seconds, the oil pressure goes from roughly 80-90 psi to somewhere between 40-60 until the oil warms and pressure drops. That's about the same time that the noises go away and the oil pressure control solenoid switches from high pressure mode to low pressure mode.

Personally, I believe that as long as it's not chain slapping and that the noises only last for a second, it's probably fine. I don't like that mine does it for 20 seconds. It sounds terrible...like a rusty bike chain...that I don't think is normal.
