Similar is that erroneous name only.

Each has 30% of the sales. That is a significant number for the 5.0 given how rare it is to find on the lots.

Were it not for warranty, I'd find a local shop with old-school mechanics who have a diagnostic computer primarily to clear trouble codes once they determine and fix the problem.
Exactly.

If that particular dealer sees a 10:1 volume of 3.5EB repairs versus the 5.0 then you would understand why they would overwhelmingly choose the 5.0.

I believe the unsung hero is the 2.7, a little surprised it wasn't hinted at.

I got the 5.0 simply because it was under the hood of the truck I liked.

Prove it.

That's got to be the most honest answer I've heard.

That's my post. And I've been beating my head trying to find a solution.

I would never base my choice on driving a rental truck. In most cases they always have the standard 3:31 gears. I have a 2012 Eco, so i have no stake in the 5 0. I have driven a 2017 5.0 withe the 373's and I was impressed with the power. Seemed linear through all gears. I wouldn't have a problem with either platform.

I picked my truck by the color and for towing. If I wanted a V8 I would have kept my 2013 Raptor.
