Default EGR In-Channel Review

Hey guys I figured I'd put a little review on the EGR In-Channel window visors since they have been getting a bad rap. I installed them this past Saturday. First off the install went extremely easy and probably took less then 15 mins. I did follow instructions to a T figured my best odds of auto up function working. As per instructions after you put in each visor you must work each window 5x"s and yes the windows would kick back the first couple times, but I just manually forced window past it. After install was complete I let the truck sit for 4hrs windows up as per instruction. When time was done I had to take my niece & nephew home about an hour away I tried each window auto up a couple times with no problem but mostly kept windows up.Truck sat all day Sunday & the drive to work the following day I left windows up. Since then they have been working flawlessly yes the windows do go up a little slower and they do click a little when they hit the edge of the visors, but the auto up function has worked every time. I get no wind noise either very quiet. Im very pleased with them so far, and since I know how you guys are about pics heres a couple.

Yes no problems only thing I've noticed since cold weather arrived driver side back edge chatters a little bit with window down. Probably a easy fix with a thin layer of 2way tape.

Curious as to why go in channel, when out of channel install in 15 minutes, looks difference is hardly detectable, and eliminate the window close issues, overworking the window motors that lead to failure and loose windows down the road?

The biggest issue to me has always been placing tape on the paint...and I've seen several vehicles with one flapping or completely gone. I've used AVS in channel's for the last 12 years on 2 different F150's and had no issues. The key is leaving the windows up for the amount of time per the instructions. JMO, but I think it's a cleaner look.

The AVS on my '15 don't attach to the paint. I have had exterior versions on every F150 I have had since 97 and never had one come off, but I utilize the prep that comes with them. Different strokes for different folks

Where exactly do they attach then? All the pictures of the 15/16's show a strip of paint along the edge of the door, just like my 10. Do you have a picture of yours? Thanks...

What badd99pony said. Also to me it gives a cleaner look. I've used in channel with every truck I've owned all the way back to my 97 Ram and have never had an issue.
