Easy Headlight Mod

Turn wheel away from that side your working on.
Take out screws and push plug on the liner and peel it back as best you can. Then you can reach up and pull the rubber cover off the low and or high beam.
The flood lights are easy and are not covered by anything.

Philips doesn't list the H9 on their webpage. I can find them online in the standard version only. Did they quit making the crystal vision H9? What is everyone using for the low beam?

No fart cans allowed
I watched the Youtube videos on how to remove the headlights and decided I would just do it from the inside.

Any issues running the 9005 in the fogs? I run mine a lot. I have put 9145 in there but didn't notice much of a difference. The H9 in the heads was a great upgrade....just wish I could get the color a little higher on the kelvin range with the halogen headlights. On the fogs is the color range in the halogens better than led? I thought fogs were typically a warmer tone...

have them on all all the time so when the sensor thinks it's dark enough they are on.
Think this was was the best part as they are super bright.
So far so great!

Great...I appreciate the feedback. What brand did you use? I was thinking any of the Philips.

SYLVANIA 9005 Basic Halogen Headlight amazon had them as none of the local part stores had stock of the 9005 or the phillips H9 I used in the low beam.

I did this mod myself this evening, following the first post in this thread. It was easy enough getting through the wheel well liner, I really don't see the need to take the headlight out completely.
It's a definite improvement over stock, just not overwhelming. I highly recommend anyone with stock halogens to do this, as the increased brightness is worth the $40 or so in bulbs.
This pic shows the passenger side switched out, with the driver side stock. Stock bulbs on the drivers side.

My issue is that I have the factory 502a LED headlights. As everyone probably knows, they're ok, but the fogs were terrible and the wrong color. I purchased a LED replacement bulb set where the color matches perfectly, but it doesn't omit any usable light.
