Thanks Mgauts! Looks great. I assume you have the '15 since you are on this thread? Any issues with the heat thus far? That is my only fear. I have been looking for someone with experience with the 65W 9005 bulbs in their fog light housings. Thanks for your help!

I've been running the std bulb mod for about 3 months now, with no issues. The light performance is drastically improved, and I rarely get "flashed" out on dark country roads. Easily the best $50 I've spent on this truck.

I had changed my bulbs out a month ago to the Sylvania Ultra bright. To me they still aren't that bright. Going through the wheel well is a PIA...I might try pulling the light housing next time should I try this.

Today day I called several auto parts stores looking for the H9 and 9011 bulbs. All I found was the H9. I had already been running the Sylvania Ultra bulbs. So I got a set of basic Sylvania H9 bulbs. Went home and cut out the extra plastic leg piece inside. Ground down the metal tab some with a small die grinder. Instead of trying to access the bulb through the wheel well. I pulled the headlight out instead. Wasn't too bad. I watched the video posted in this thread. So I switched the low beams out. Then I went after the fog lights. Replaced them with the factory high beams that I had pulled out 9005 I believe. I just went out and took a little ride after it got good and dark. Seems like plenty of light. One question I have for the light experts is the factory fog light bulbs. The tip is gray coated. The factory 9005 tip was not coated. The fogs seemed plenty bright. But will this make a difference some how ? I have ordered the Phillips 9011 for the high beams.

Happy New Year everyone......I don't go out a lot at night. But went for a order of Chinese's take out about 6pm last night. The place is 45 minutes from where I am here in the woods. On low beam I got flashed about a dozen times. I guess I'm going to let my girl friend drive my truck and I drive her car and meet my truck on the road at night to see if I'm burning the eyes right out of on coming cars. This is just on low beam with the standard H9 bulb. I might switch back to the H11 ultra white low beam bulbs I have if I'm blinding everyone.
