I still want to see what RX is going to provide. I don't mind the mod if it makes the system perform...and if its "clean" aka stock looking. I'm also extremely concerned about the CAC and whether or not this needs to be drained as previous versions benefited from. The location, and the fact its buried now makes that mod difficult IMHO. Ford has been oddly quiet on any improvements. Which leads me to think that nothing was really done. Just things moved around a bit. Thoughts?

With the 2015 there is the introduction of a sensor into the PCV system. Right now on our truck we have tapped into the factory hose that holds the factory sensor to add a fitting for the OEM Quick Connects. The customer kits will come with that hose already built with sensor included so that it is simply replaced as a whole unit. Making the kit 100% reversible back to stock if you should ever desire.

Active shutter system? Is that the louvers? If that's what we are relying on to keep moisture out of the CAC? EKK!

I would think the active shutters, when closed, would decrease the air flow around the CAC/intercooler, thus decreasing its efficiency, and therefore the condensation of moisture inside it.

Don't you find that to be a complicated solution to the condensation build-up?? I'm not that familiar with it's function to be completely savy in a solution, but honestly...an event driven louver system?

The shutters are not the solution. The shutters are for aerodynamics to help mpg but in turn should reduce condensation leading to build up. Also from what I hear the tubes go in and out the bottom instead the sides which will not allow build up.
My wife's fusion with the 1.5 ecoboost has shutters and I know they are for aerodynamics to help mpg. My though is fords thinking was the shutters can close at highway speeds since the added flow due to rate of speed should cool the intercooler/CAC enough with the shutters still closed. The shutters should stay open at low rates of speed, in traffic, etc....
