I have to take my wife's car in for a recall and figured I would ask the service department about the window while I was at there. I always appreciate everybody's help and have no problem working on vehicles.

It took about 5 miles to get the stupid thing to stay closed! Any ideas what the heck is going on? Good thing this didn't' happen last week with all that rain and flooding in St. Louis.
Happened to me a few times also...

Mine did it after a couple weeks after bringing it home. Hasn't done it lately I probably disabled it at some point without realizing it.

"mine does it all the time. especially when I hit a bump or god forbid I am on a dirt road. The dealer is refusing to do anything. They have "re-calibrated" it 3 times and it still does it. They are refusing to do anything else stating it is supposed to happen. This happens driving in the city, and even twice while standing still.... Mine is not a simple re-calibration issue but the dealer is refusing to do anything.... I call BS

For anyone trying to reset the limits on the bounce back, don't just hit the up button. You need to goose it up a little bit at a time until it reaches the closed position. That way it won't bounce back. Then you can follow the correction procedure.

Mine has always done this also, even when holding the button in the "up" position. I've tried the re-calibration procedure with no success.

If you're having problems and the standard calibration procedure does not work try this. Put your hand on the sill at the base of the window and then use your finger to put drag/pressure on the window. Go through the calibration process with your finger dragging on the glass. This will calibrate the window with a higher resistance and should correct the over active bounce back.
