drivers window keeps going half way down on its own

I was enjoying a nice cool morning driving back roads with the windows down. When I turned onto the highway I hit the button to roll up the windows and the drivers side went all the way up and then halfway back down I'm like wtf? I tried several more times and it kept going back to the halfway point and even tried holding the button and it went up then halfway down while holding it in up position. It took about 5 miles to get the stupid thing to stay closed! Any ideas what the heck is going on? Good thing this didn't' happen last week with all that rain and flooding in St. Louis.

This has happened to me sporadically, looking forward to suggested solutions

I would see what the dealer makes of it.

Seems like there may be resistance at that point making the window think it's hitting something. Maybe the sensor is going bad? Do you have vent visors on? It's a safety feature referred to and "bounce back". Try this method.

Thanks, I'll check with service department on what they think then. Of course it will never do it while at the dealer.

Check your manual first,,, I'm sure I read in there how to reset the bounce back sensitivity..

I don't understand why people create a thread asking for some info if their intention is to not try any of it and just take it to the dealer. Let us know what they say.

Sometimes to see if it's a widespread problem.. Is there a known fix, class action law suit, chance of a buy back, free extended warranty etc..:D:D

You just need to recalibrate the bounce back limits. Its in the manual.
