Door Latch Recall - Who else is waiting for parts?
My 2015 has been at the Dealer since last week Monday (22nd). The technician confirmed that the doors will not latch first thing on a cold morning. Therefore they cannot release the truck due to the safety issue. No big deal for me as they provided a courtesy rental, '17 Expedition Platinum EL (it feels like a cheap POS BTW)
As of this moment of writing this, there are no parts available for replacement. ..... My dealer has been great BTW, completely out of their hands in regards to the parts shortage...I have no idea when I will get my truck back.
I am disappointed in Ford in how short inventory they currently have. I understand that they are probably working with their latch supplier on balancing the demand between supplying the assy plants and supplying the service part demands.....but for when there is no light in the end of the tunnel, its disappointing.
Anyone else waiting for parts? Im in Canada BTW

i havent even checked with my local stealer to see if they have parts available...

They completed the door latch recall on mine in December. It sits outside for 12 hours a day and I haven't had any freezing issues and we've been below zero quite a few times. I do wash it at least weekly as well.
