Agreed. Every manufacturer has their not so good models. As well as their not so good years of various models. The Toyota Tacoma is good, but the Yaris is absolute crap in so many ways.

These minor fitment issues, while annoying, are literally the only complaint I have with my F-150 and are vastly overshadowed by the quality of everything else and the sheer value of the truck.

Not really sure why you had to go the "close minded and ignorant" route. Don't be hatin' dude. I've assumed nothing and my opinion is based on real world experience as well and has nothing to do with this forum. Nothing left to be said here. Have a nice day

Hate? Let's be honest here. You labeled me a Ford engineer for simply presenting an experience that opposed yours. Presenting and opinion with no backing. And saying no one will convince you otherwise, is close minded. You never mentioned how you came to your conclusion until now. And you still haven't described your real world experience.

If I came out with an opinion that Tesla cars are of poor build quality, because they just are IMHO, and you'll never convince me otherwise. You'd say the same about me.

I'd agree with Lytefly, based on years of scrutinizing different models from different makes. All have their problems, it has just been much easier to see on Fords of late. I'd say the frequency is higher, but also that Ford has continued to pioneer the moving assembly line the Henry was famous for creating. It has contributed to building more bang for the buck vehicles relative to other American vehicles (and sales for Ford reflect that), but at the cost of more sloppiness. I'm certain is will evolve and get better with time, for all manufacturers.

I also find it humorous that, yet again, we have a visit from a forum police agent making his own assumption and accusing another poster of making an assumption based on that assumption.

You had two options when you assumed what he based his opinion on, and went the route of not giving the benefit of doubt, or asking.

Yeah, and I was assumed to be a Ford engineer. I offered up my 15 years experience to support my opinion. No one had to ask me.

I get what you're saying though. It was wrong of me to assume. For that, I apologize Lytefly

*UPDATE*

Took the truck to the dealer today, and asked the service dept about it. He suggested we go look at some new models on the lot and compare. Turns out all 3 new supercabs we looked at were pretty much the same. Below is my build sticker, but I'm not sure where it was made, if it even makes a difference...

Hmmm...Seems you're about to get the all too familiar, "they all look like that...they all sound like that....they all drive like that..."line.
