Does your hood stick shut? Here's your fix!
Got tired of my hood sticking shut and having to yank up hard on it. First, I tried waxing the top of the grill where the rubber seal from the hood makes contact. Applied some tire dressing to the seal as well, just to see if they would disengage easier. No dice, same issue. So then I took some 1/4" wide velcro (soft side and applied it to the top of the grille. Nope, still stuck shut one the very next attempt. So then I decided it was probably the latch assembly. Doused it with PB BLASTER multiple purpose lubricant and voila, the hood pops open 2-3" when you pull the hood release. So lube those latches! Hope this helps someone. There was discussion in another thread on this issue, so I thought I would try and find a solution.

I zapped mine with Fluid Film after the first time it didn't latch when closing, that took care of it not popping open too.
