Does everyone's ecoboost surge or shudder
#11
My 13 ecoboost had a slight shudder, but went away when I changed the spark plug gap. My 15 2.7 ecoboost was easily the smoothest and even though it wasn't perfectly smooth I never thought twice about it. My 17 is so bad that it feels like power is coming in and out slightly and worse when it's cold.

My 2017 2.7 with 6-speed transmission does this in certain, very specific, situations and 9 times out of 10 there is no shudder and when I punch it no shudder at all. I notice it mostly when I am on an incline with little throttle. Also, during highway driving no shudder, it drives like a dream.

My '18 2.7 doesn't shudder during acceleration, but it does during downshifts when slowing down a little bit.
I've probably only put 300-500 miles on it so far, but noticed that even on the test drive.

Have you checked the plugs?

yes mine does, I've had it looked at a few times, I've tried different fuels, I've regapped the plugs, I've had transmission parts replaced, still does it. Predominantly 2-3000rpm moderate to full throttle input going up a hill. Towing exacerbates the sensation

When I start my 3.5 eco, the truck has a rough idle. shudders a little bit. Goes away when it warms up and I don't notice it under acceleration or when driving.
