Do you think we will ever get a real limited-slip diff back, and

My 2004 Silverado regular cab short bed Z71 had one. It was great off road, but I had several pucker factor moments in the rain going around corners.
It is pretty violent when it engages and GM puts relatively weak rear ends in their half tons. You will grenade a G80 if regularly abused on pavement as they are not meant for on road use.
I was turning around in a gravel drive way in mine. I spun enough to engage the G80 and then it stayed locked once I got out on the payment causing my truck to hop and bark the inside tire while turning. They stay locked until you hit a certain MPH.
My 2015 is 2WD, but I much prefer the e-locker versus G80.

I don't have any problem with slip with my 5.0. I don't floor it off the light, I don't take corners at high speed and try to drift, ... I drive safely.
Yes, you can use 4A on a wet road just fine. In fact, you can use it on a dry road just fine. It will cause more wear, but it's fine.

Really? I thought it was just bigger caps for bigger bearings but the diff and gears were the same?
It's about time they upgraded the 8.8. They were not nearly heavy enough for the newer engines. Almost as bad as gm putting the 8.625 behind the 6.2?

It's good in the right conditions, but are prone to failure.
