Default DIY **** Job (with pics)

Yea, it's not what ya think (dirty, dirty!!)

Cruising eBay, I found these and thought they were interesting enough.
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F263364248654

Loved the idea of getting the Lariat and up look, but hated the color selection (blue/red/black). I just wanted the natural aluminum. Contacted the seller and no dice (red/blue/black only). Ordered a set of blue for $13 anyway. Shipping from China took a good month and change, but I finally got em. Here they are out of the box:

After some research, I put these in a bowl, and added some drain cleaner. I think the lye is key here.

After only 3 to 5 minutes, I took them out and rinsed with cold water. After a quick dry, this is what I got.

They install simply (slip/pressure fit) and they turned out pretty cool, and for only $13.

They also have matching 4x4 selector, headlight, and trailer assist *****. Anyway, I just wanted to share with you guys. Thanks for lookin!

- Dave

OP, I was soooo set on roasting you for the added R.I.C.E, but after you stripped the cheap looking finish, it actually looks REALLY good! Great job!
