Diy Kayak rack complete, but i got some questions!
after some messing about i got my kayak rack done but i got some questions about the front stake pocket holes, why wouldn't they actually put a pocket like the rear ones?? the rear section of the rack is very stable with very little play if any, the front one moves quite a bit because I am missing a second contact point which would have been in the pocket. i am looking for some ideas on what to do i ran a bolt through the access hole in the bed and it seems to work pretty decent but am always looking for way s to improve it,

That was going to be my question - what doe your brackets and other attachments look like.

Kinda hard to see from this pic but there are 1x2 tubing and that fits perfectly into the pockets then I ran a bolt through some holes in the bed to the tubing which had a tapped hole in it in order to bolt it down. Only issue is the back one has a pocket the front one only has the hole. Any other questions I am happy to answer.
