Dissapointed with 2016 prices
I ordered a 2016 F150 and got a great deal....$1k below invoice. I figured the incentive would grow from $500 to at least $1k, I'd get the $1k private cash offer, and Black Friday would probably net a little more savings. NONE of that has happened!
I'm literally getting $1500 below invoice and that's it. It doesn't look like any more discounts are in my future. I'm probably gonna back out of my order and just wait.
Am I missing something? Last Black Friday they did lol $1k cash back. This year it's the stupid friends and family thing which most can get anyway!
Had to vent...ford sucks.

That's a gamble you take anytime you special order. Been there before and you just have to make up your mind when you order if you want it for that price or not. Anything else is a bonus.

Yes, you are missing something. You buy and get the deals at time of order or time of delivery. Great to have 2 options. Most don't. You expected a brand new model year to have great rebates, while 2015s remain on the lot. Pretty naiive. I bought my 2013 in late December of 2013 to get great rebates.
If you choose to back out, that's up to you, but if you do please don't post every day wondering when the rebates will get better, just wait till summer and give us some peace. And your attitude towards Ford is quite funny.

Also, when do you think the rebates will get better?

Late summer into September like always. XLT rebates always beat all others.

Dear Disappointed!
Wait till February 2016 and buy a 2015, shouldn't be any better than that!

As for "xplan for everyone" I found historical data to suggest Ford does this often. Recently - Oct 2012, Memorial day 2014. It appears that the dealers in general don't deal as well while that promotion is ongoing. Ford doesn't post their past rebates/incentives online for historical searches to find. We would all know when to get the best deal then.
I too am waiting for a better deal. If the economy tanks, all the cars will be cheaper. If not I have a lot of patience, if the rebates don't come until summer, so be it. Haha, by then I will be looking at a 2017 model and start the wait all over :-)
The sales staff at the dealers are all motivated to sell 2015 models right now. They are not real truthful and they all say the 2016 is the same as the 2015 model so why not buy a 2015?Once the 2015's are gone they will tell you:
· the Alcoa aluminum in the 2016's is 30% stronger
· sync3 is in the new models
· supercab now has front crash brackets

Take a look at the websites of all of the dealers within driving distance of you. See if there are any trucks similar to yours with discounts greater than your current deal. If you can find one, print out the listing and the window sticker. That may put you in a better position to negotiate on your order.
In my area, there was a dealer advertising a price about 14k below MSRP on a 2016 Platinum, which was about 8,700 below the Friends and Neighbors price.
Edit: 14k below MSRP, not invoice.
