First deal the dealer offered me on my 2015 was 12K off MSRP. They also gave me top dollar on my trade. There was no need for any negotiation. I was pleased with the price and jumped on it. Whether you think Ford is scamming you on pricing or not, if you want to buy a new pickup, now is the time to do it.

Why are the truck prices high? Simple! People want a truck to be like a high end car. Trucks today are far better appointed and much more luxurious than trucks in the 70's. So..., if you want your truck like a high end car, you will pay hi end car prices.

However, they are still trucks, and it is funny to me to hear folks complain that their (empty) truck has a stiff ride or, might have a little rear end hop when hitting a bump in a certain way.

Supplies/stock are dwindling, so prices are rising! A month ago you saw the ads in Houston with top amounts off, 13-14K. Now you see less as supply/stock dwindles.

I've seen a few posts stating 14k specifically off of an XLT, and I've seen 13.5k off of a few XLT's and Lariats. I'm pretty sure that those that are getting those prices are using A-Plan, plus all available incentives, cash back, and financing offer rebates/incentives as well.

While I'm with you regarding some of these prices, I'd jump on a Lariat spec'd out close to what I want for 13-14k off MSRP.

There is still a hefty amount of '15 stock around here in North Texas, as well as what I've seen down in Austin, Houston, and San Antonio. Logic would be that if your stock is dwindling on models you're getting rid of due to a new year model, prices continue to decrease and not increase.

I just want this magical 13-14k off MSRP. Hell, I'll even consider stepping down to an XLT at that price!

Around here they were talking $8k off up until Fords F&F marketing (Xplan for everyone) started in early November. Then it became $5k off.

I finally got my "private cash offer" in the mail today but instead of the $1000 other people claimed to be getting mine was $500. That tells me that in my area the inventory is moving well. The economy is good. Too good.

I can wait. I have about talked myself into waiting for the 2017's. Unless I see an amazing deal in Dec or Jan my impulse to buy is over. I'm not complaining, just waiting patiently. At $14k off I will buy, $8K off doesn't even make me blink.

2016's have sync3 and supercab now has the crash brackets that it needed in 2015. 20016's also have more of the Alcoa micromill aluminum that is 30% stronger. 2017's may have 10 speed tranny. Haha, next year I may decide to wait another year, I am getting 3% interest on my money in the mean time.

That's exactly what I did. Wasn't necessarily looking for a new truck but..., the deal was so good and it was very close to what I would want if I was looking, I couldn't pass it up. It's a good feeling to drive off the lot in a new vehicle knowing what you got in to it is less than what it is worth. In other words..., you beat the depreciation.

I have never been able to replicate what others report on this forum. I've done pretty well negotiating all of the vehicles I've purchased but the best I've ever been able to do on an F150 is about $9k off.

I've seen it once, 3 or 4 weeks ago when 2016's first started hitting dealer lots.

A dealer near me (Seattle area) was discounting a Platinum to $8,700 below the Friends&Neighbors price. With another $500 in Factory customer cash, the total below MSRP was about $14.5k. But, I have no idea if they ever actually sold it at that price (they said they did), or if they just advertised it that way to drum up business.

I have an agreement for $12.4k below sticker on my truck, which is supposed to arrive at the dealer today or tomorrow.

I have screenshots of the two Platinums that I believe you are talking about. 1 red, 1 white. Both were $14k off msrp. I believe it was a "bait and switch" tactic. Also fine print said it was only available to Washington residents. The red truck is not listed any more and the white is now at 10.2k below msrp.

I am currently trying to get a price from them on a ordered 2016 Plat. I live in Montana but its fairly cheap to fly to Seattle.

A Denver dealer went to $2300 below invoice after the doc fee plus I kept rebates. I turned him down for now.
