If this is happening, there is something wrong with the laptop, charger, or inverter. 400 Watts is more than enough to power a laptop. The most power I have ever seen even hardcore gaming laptops is a 330ish Watts.

I can charge my work laptop fine and everything else but 2 out of my 3 kids have msi gaming laptops and both get the flashing light thingy. Can't Remeber what color it flashes. Haven't looked into it at all though.

If someone can get the pinouts for the inverter connections, I’ll give it a try and document my results.

I’m not sure what that white wire coming out of the inverter is for, but that’s the only one that makes me nervous.

alright campers. Ive talked myself into it. I am going to hook up a piece of equipment I got here at work that can get up some oscillography pictures of the sine wave and see how good or bad it really is. Ill report back with the screen shots tomorrow.

It's crap... it's a "modified sine wave". I think it might have 4 steps between negative and positive.

You don’t have to. There are oscillograph photos in the thread I posted above. The waveform is actually more square than your typical modified sine wave.
