Yes there brighter but still have plenty glare. Personally think retrofitting a set of HID projectors would be a better option.

No glare AT ALL! Not even a little!

You see thats the great thing about a forum. I can come in here and voice my opinion. The fact of the matter is that im the other guy on the road that your blinding with the glare. Yes they are much brighter than stock. Yes they have less glare than alot of other dumb asses on the road that are running LEDs and HIDs in halogen housings but the fact that your still causing plenty of glare doesnt change things.

Look i to have run LEDs and HIDs in housings not designed for them. But after installing projectors on my daily driver have learned what great lighting can be! Even some of the cheap projectors are better. The cheap projectors i have on my daily driver outperform the OEM HIDs on my 13 F150, which is why im upgrading those as we speak.

Say what you want, the pictures posted above still have plenty glare!

No they don't. There is no more glare on these bulbs, or any bulbs with this chip set than there are on factory halogens.

First you said no they dont have glare then you say no more than the factory halogens. So what is it, glare or no glare?

I never said the factory halogens didn't have glare, they do and being as now you have a brighter light the glare is even brighter. So you have spent how much on these bulbs to have the same subpar beam just brighter?

DD it's nothing personally, it's just the nature of the beast.

My camera makes them seem more glare-ish it’s not that bad. Same as the halogens but your right it is brighter. What is putting off most of the glare is the switchbacks I also put in...while cool they are bright white and glare like.

Few notes.

The high beam plug seems to now be in the correct configuration for the OEM clip

If you use the SL1s for the fogs the clip is NOT in the correct position. I had to reverse it...I did not tape it I’ll see how it holds.

I did have to trim the one tab on the 9005 bulb for my fog lights just like if you use halogens.

The sl1 in the fog housing is much louder than the ones in the headlight housing. A lot louder. Still can’t really hear them once the truck is running.

Going though the wheel well was not that hard...I’d rather do that vs dis assemble the headlights.

I did not go drive and test it...I had a few drinks.

The high beam is ever so slightly a more yellow white. Had to tell in person but the camera picks it up better.

its a stretch to tell from those pics if the glare would be in your eyes coming down the road. I’d like to see some more convincing evidence before making that kind of judgement. Though it does kinda sound like you’re trying to sell projectors over the LED swap. That might be feasible on your rig but some of us have 2018’s and that’s not an option yet. That said I’m still in this thread for the reviews on new trucks and your opinion doesn’t apply because your solution isn’t available to me. Many thanks though. And before anyone goes there, I’ll pass on HID’s too.
