Difference between loaded Lariat vs Platinum

'Fully loaded' is a bit hard to quantify. I'll say they are comparably loaded. The options I listed are exactly what was added to each base model through the build site.

What I meant is you have to compare it with the exact same options otherwise it's not a fair comparison and price difference will be much smaller. Here in Canada the price difference was around $8K more for Platinum vs Lariat with the same options. The main thing that you can't get on Lariat is the massage seats and different leather. Unless you're OK with a less optioned Platinum.

I have similar question, looking for a loaded platinum, 5.0 / 3.55 But possibly a King Ranch could do also.
Lets say both were same engine, gear ratio and 601 vs 701 What is the main difference between those 2, Is it just the interior trim wood and different leathers and a few minor differences. between those 2 trucks. I looked on this site

They seem very similar, but maybe I am missing something , Is there a main big difference. They both have all the extra's Bliis, lane assist, adaptive cruise, Massaging seats, ect, ect.
I am just wondering what really is different between those 2 models, trim as KR is 2 tone body, and Platinum seats leather is a bit different too I think.
And wood trim, vs chrone maybe? I would go for either as long as they are basically the same.

Ford has made this quite confusing in my opinion. 5 Models and the top three can be optioned to the point of being nearly the same truck. A fully loaded Platinum is not very much more then a optioned out Lariat or KR. The biggest differences are in the appearance packages. The Platinum comes as it is with next to no choices on appearance. I wish it had a few more choices in this area. It is the easiest to buy as you just ask for a Platinum with all the options. Only the axle ratio and tow mirrors can be varied at this point. The others depend on which packages you choose as to what is available. I think the top end options proved so popular that Ford made them available on the other models to keeps sales coming. It was too big of a leap to get a Platinum with the folding steps so they offered them on other models. Even the XLT can be optioned to over 40,000!
