Default Difference between intake and exhaust cam phasers?

Is there a difference between the intake and exhuast cam phasers on a 2018 5.0? By difference, I mean are they all buit the same, or is there an actual design difference between the two. Are they interchangable?

Search info says they are not the same or interchangeable between >>intake and exhaust cam application<< BUT "are" interchangeable Bank to Bank for the same Cams.
Good luck.

Different part numbers, they move different directions. The intake phaser advances the intake cam from its resting position. The exhaust retards its cam from its resting position.

Thanks. I was to frustrated to even try to find that out for myself. Last night, while coming home from dinner, I had a mis-fire that caused the CEL to flash. Pulled right over and shut it down. After looking for loose wires and such, a restart and no mis-fire, steady CEL. Currently, the CEL has been on after getting my phasers replaced to fix the cold start rattle. P0022 popped up right after having those done, and last night, P0012 showed up as well, and P0306. I was told after the first set of phasers might be the cause of the P0022, I told the shop to make sure they use OEM parts, and back it went. They had it two weeks, told they were waiting on the new phasers. They say it may be an oil pre4ssure issue. I'm thinking they never replaced the first set of phasers they did with OEM parts. It's going back in nexy Monday for one last time to this shop. At this point, I lost all trust in this shop.

Have them take a picture of the phasers put in? Intake and Exhaust can't be interchangeable since each has a letter imprinted: "I" and "E". Latest style phaser doesn't have the coil spring exposed.

I appreciate the pictures. I don't think they're going to tear it down to check the issue out. They told me it has to be an oil pressure issue. If thats the case, then the code would have been their prior to the phasers being replaced. Apon further research, I found that aftermarket phasers have an issue with needing more oil pressure to move the phasers, and should have a high volume and high pressure pump to replace the OEM. My reciept shows a part number VVT575 and VVT723 for the phasers. Those come up as O'Reilly Auto parts stock, not the OEM i had asked for.

I read on here that they used the same phasers on each engine, at least the OEM ones. Plus, when i went to the O'Reilly site, and put the truck info to check if they fit, it came back as a yes.
