Default did you tint your front driver side window?

Hi Gents,

Just want to check with you guys if you tint your front driver side window? Does it reduce the normal driving visibility? I heard people did it for cutting down the heat and glare from sun. Is it correct? Never done it before so not sure. I'd like to cut down the glare from side mirror at night time. Thanks

before you do this, check your local laws, there are some areas where it is illegal to have tint on front windows, i would love to tint the windows but i don't want to deal with the 5-0. They can pull you over here for a tint violation and then you have to remove it and provide proof you removed it

I tinted both front side windows to the Washington State max, about 25% light transfer. I did find that visibility was affected especially when making a 90 degree turn at night in dark residential neighborhoods. Under these conditions it would easy to not see a pedestrian in dark clothes unless you're very attentive.

You can get an almost clear ceramic tint that does an awesome job of heat rejection and cuts down on glare. I love it personally.

If you get quality tint installed correctly, no it doesn't effect driving visibility. Now if you get super dark limo tint, there could be some reduced visibility at night for non illuminated objects.

Absolutely, its the first thing I do whenever I acquire any new vehicle.... off to the tint shop it goes. I match the rear, so its a little harder to see on a dark road when looking out the sides - somethings have to roll the window down. There is no real impact if there is any ambient light around such as driving in the burbs, etc...

I did both front windows. I applied to the limit of whats legal in Texas which is 25%. I'm a redhead and naturally susceptible to sunburns so I plan on seeing a dermatologist and getting a prescription for darker tint so the cops cant mess with me and I have zero issues when I get inspected.

Im not sure what you mean by quality tint and having it installed correctly but i have tint that matches my rears and i can for sure say it affects visibility here and there and its not even close to limo dark

I had both of my front windows tinted to the 35% legal limit in my area. Doesn't match the rear but looks better than no tint. And my arm doesn't burn in the sun.
