Did Sirius lose a Satellite or?

Strange, my Sirius sounds great. In fact it's better (louder) than my CD's.

I'm in Western NY and have not noticed any actual reception issues, however in certain spots it's started making a "squelching" noise. Almost as if the buffer is catching up and playing all at once. It only happens for a split second, but it's very noticeable.

Save the Manuals!
I have read a few places that T-Mobile's repeater towers are causing issues with SirusXM reception. A few research papers have been published recommending against using the 600 MHz frequency band for mobile communications due to harmonic interference with many other approved bands. SiriusXM is on S-band (2-4 MHz), but operates in the lower end near 2.4 MHz. It may explain why there have been more complaints recently. I believe T-Mobile purchased rights to the 600 MHz spectrum to expand on 4G LTE/5G.

Digital brick walling (louder) is not necessarily better.
I did a deal, 5 months for 20 bux, I may have to check out Amazon Music though. Worst case, I go back to my MP3 on USB drive.
I just wish Sync 3 had a direct view folder mode that you could just pick files/folders to play in sequence. That's one thing I miss about uConnect.

I agree that Amazon Music sounds a lot better than sirius, but my issue us that Verizon has crappy coverage where I travel. There is a stretch in southern Wisconsin that has very low coverage, and some areas are 1x, 1 bar, so Amazon cuts out for a good 20 minutes of driving. Been switching between USB and Sirius lately.
And that squelching is what I was trying to think of as well, mine has started doing that for the past few weeks.

On Friday April 12, I had the worst (and only) bout with cutting in and out I've ever experienced with SXM. Enough that I called Advance Tech Support to try and understand the issue. As per such things, no one ever answered. I hung up and the next day it was fine. I'm in central NC. Was out again today and had no issues. Solar flares, sun spots, aliens...

Yep, most any downtown area screws with my reception. Back roads with overhanging trees with foliage has the same effect. Aside from that, no issues, except for the day I mentioned.

My Serious worked just fine the last few days.
I had the SSM 47047 done on my truck :: (Sirius Radio cuts out regularly, on clear days, with “No Signal” message.) and THAT fixed my "Bad XM" issues completely.
Basically - Ford replaced / upgraded the Antenna.

I use spotify - they let me cache playlists on my mobile so if I don't have data - I still have tunes. It's great for plane rides. Other systems do this too now but spotify was the first.
SiriusXM despite being called satellite radio also uses terrestrial repeaters. They go down sometimes or have - and like someone pointed out they are being flooded with interference from new lower frequency Mobile Phone carrier waves.
I would drop that crap like a bad habit and I wish car makers would start leaving it out of systems.
