Did Ford Mess Up My Order?
I finally got my truck last night, I have only put a few miles on it so I will have driving impressions of the 2.7 Ecoboost later (I love it so far!), but wanted to run something across this forum.
My truck was a fleet order, so some of the options are a bit goofy compared to what retail can order. For instance, my company orders XLT 300A packages (base) but then will add the Sync MyFord Touch option. You can't do this on a retail truck (the Sync MyFord Touch can has to be pared with the 301A package). But I wonder if Ford messed something up with my build, because the in-dash screen is the 2.3-inch, not the 4.2-inch.
From the fleet order guide about the Sync w/MyFord Touch option (fleet):
SYNC® with MyFord Touch® (Voice-activated, in-vehicle connectivity system) (req. 57Q Rear-window Defroster on Base)
(Incl. 8.0” center-stack touch screen with audio control and compass, 4.2" productivity screen in instrument cluster, two (2) USB charging ports.
Yet, here is my dash. I am not going to raise a big stink, I am just curious if I missed something or if Ford's literature isn't correct. What are your thoughts?

Not sure what your question is, but you appear to have the 8" touch screen in the center stack and a 4.2" productivity screen on the dash. The dash doesn't get an 8" productivity screen behind steering wheel until the Lariat model (I believe).

Yeah, I'm not getting it either. You do know the screens are measured diagonally, like a TV, right?

Sorry for not being clear, the center productivity screen is 2.3-inch, but the option package says it is supposed to be the 4.2-inch. My question is did Ford mess up the build or did I miss something?

I believe he think's that he should have the full gauge productivity screen that gives you your trailering displays and off road monitors etc. Looks like this truck just has the standard blue dot matrix gauge display.

Oh, I get it. On Ford website it says the 2.3 is Standard on XL and 4.2 is standard on XLT. But I don't know what the fleet should have. Did it come with window sticker?

I think this is what you're asking about, right?
This is the 4.2 inch screen that I thought should be in your 2015 XLT: (not the best picture in the world)
Edit: Only other real difference in the pictures I can tell is your's has the column shifter, might that affect which screen you get?

Part of me is thinking it has something to do with the fleet order. Maybe Ford just doesn't think people who are ordering fleet vehicles need the display. Work truck / rental truck fleet buyers probably don't want to spend the extra money on the feature. I could be wrong though.
Maybe give your fleet dealer a call and see?

Thank you, that is that is the screen. I did confirm that the 2.3-inch screen is standard on XLT (300A), the 4.2-inch comes with the 301A package and supposedly the 300A with the Sync w/MyFord Touch option package.

By the way, thank you for everyone's comments. I know this screen question is a "first-world" problem so I don't want to make a huge deal out of it. But I am an OCD engineer, so I am naturally curious when I find a discrepancy.
